Kyle Wood Named Architech Sports and Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week
Providence Day School senior football player Kyle
Wood has been named the Architech Sports and
Physical Therapy Student Athlete of the Week. The
son of Kit and Marcy Wood is a cornerback and wide
receiver for the Chargers. He is also a member of the
Providence Day School basketball and track teams and
is scheduled to graduate with 12 varsity letters.
Kyle was a member of the 2016 NCISAA State Basketball
Champions and he also placed third in the Long
Jump at the NCISAA State Track Meet. Kyle hopes
his team can compete for a state football title this fall.
Following high school, Kyle would like to continue to
play football in college.
Inside the classroom, Kyle carries a 4.2 grade point average and is a member of
the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society. He is a three year
member of the Headmaster’s list and a AP Scholar with Distinction. Kyle also
serves as a Co-Leader in the Students of Service Project “Runningworks.” The
group uses running to empower individuals dealing with homelessness, poverty,
