Charlotte Christian senior soccer player Alex Loeb has been selected as a team
captain for the Knights this fall. The son of Chris and Terry Loeb plays center
back and mid field for Charlotte Christian. During the spring season, Alex also

“Our Soccer team playoff win last year on
penalty kicks.”

 

What do you consider as your top
athletic accomplishment?

 

“Being named soccer team captain for the
2017 season.”

 

Talk about your thoughts on college at
this time?

 

“My current top choices are Davidson, Virginia,
and Boston College. I hope to get accepted!
I do not plan to play a varsity sport, but hope
to play intramurals. I want to focus on
academics.”

 

What are your goals for this season?

 

“In soccer, to consistently play solid defense and make good passes in hopes
that I can help the team make the playoffs. For golf, to be one of the leaders on
the team.”

 

How well do you perform in the classroom?

 

“I carry a grade point average of 4.5. I am on the Summa Cum Laude Honor
Roll for this past spring. I am also a member of the National Honor Society
and I play French Horn in the school wind ensemble.:

 

Why are academics important to you?

 

“I enjoy the strong student-teacher interaction at Charlotte Christian and
would like a chance to continue that at a high level at college.”

 

Are you involved in any community service projects?

 

“I am involved with the Garden of Eatin’ project at St. Peters Catholic Church
