tennis player Grant Stuckey has been
named the P. Saylor Fence / Mecklenburg
Area Catholic Schools Good Sport of the
Week. The son of Doug and Nanette
Stuckey has been playing competitive
tennis since the age of nine.

Grant has performed well over the years,
winning the USTA 16 Summer Southern
Closed Championship and he has won
five southern singles championships and
one doubles southern championship.
Grant’s success led him to sign with
Alabama in November of 2016, reaching
a long time goal.

Inside the classroom, Grant is an Honors and AP level student at CharlottePSaylor
Catholic. He is also active as a volunteer at his church with the Charlotte
Homeless Shelter and the Missionaries of the Poor. Congratulations to Grant
Stuckey for being named the P. Saylor Fence / Mecklenburg Area Catholic
Schools Good Sport of the Week.
